It's hard to live in New York City without hearing people rave about Shake Shack.
Since moving to Manhattan nine months ago, I've been surrounded by loyal customers who happily wait in line for the burgers and crinkle-cut fries.
I work right down the street from the original Shake Shack at Madison Square Park, so I decided to try it myself.
Here's what I thought after having Shake Shack for the first time.
It's 40 degrees on a Friday in Manhattan. This is the original Shake Shack line at noon. It only opened an hour earlier and the line is already this long.
As I inched closer to the front, I took a look back — the line never seemed to stop growing. It surprised me that people are willing to stand in the cold just for a burger!
The brand's Shack Cam allows customers to monitor the line from the office or at home. There I am almost ready to place my order!
