New York City takes brunch seriously.
OpenTable.com recently released a list of the 100 Best Brunch Restaurants in America. Of the 100 restaurants on the list, 15 are based in New York City.
Offering everything from traditional Eggs Benedict to spicy chicken paired with red velvet waffles, these 15 restaurants are the city's best places for brunch.
Boulevard Bistro
Tucked away in a historic brownstone apartment in Harlem, Boulevard Bistro offers a cozy, casual atmosphere and bold Southern flavors. It calls its cuisine "crafted American soul."
Cupping Room Cafe
A historical New York City landmark, The Cupping Room Café was the first tall building to be built in SoHo in 1977 and is still in its original condition. The local favorite offers a cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices on brunch staples.
Hotel Chantelle
Hotel Chantelle is one of the few restaurants in the city offering multiple dining floors, including a glassed-in rooftop patio so you can enjoy your meal any time of the year.
The Lower East Side spot is definitely a party hotspot at night though, when its lounges are packed with fashionable New Yorkers enjoying post-meal cocktails.
