Hot-Dog-Flavored-Chips

I attended the Summer Fancy Food Show this week for the second time in my life, and boy, was it a whirlwind.

The general idea of the show is that hundreds of food purveyors from all over the world come and give out samples of their wares, hoping to gain distributors that will sell their product. As a result, you've got everything from hot dog flavored potato chips to hot-sauce flavored ice cream. Just when you think we, as a human race, have peaked in terms of what we can produce foodwise, the Summer Fancy Food Show proves you wrong.

I decided to go for the gold this year and to eat literally everything the convention had to offer. I ate some really delicious snacks, and choked down a few disgusting ones, and I did all of this for you, dear reader, because you deserve to know what's out there in the world of fancy food.

Check out my finds and discover what's about to hit grocery store aisles near you.

Almost-too-cute cupcakes

The first thing I saw were these super-cute cupcakes from Kencraft. They were only for display, though, so they while they were the first thing I saw they were also the first thing that I did not eat. I really liked the panda, though. Panda, panda, panda, panda.

Texas Pecan Sea Salt Caramel ice cream

This ice cream was AMAZING. Really. I only got to try a small sample, but that was probably for my own good. It was super caramel-y and rich, with just a hint of pecan and the right amount of salt. Good job, Paciugo. I can't pronounce your name, but your ice cream is fantastic.

Kawaii gummies

I think I squealed when I found these Kawaii gummies. They claim to be "so cute and so fun," and they definitely are. You can see how they are made here, but you basically combine some kind of gelatin powder and water, follow the instructions, and build your own cute gummies.
